Bora Bora.. French Polynesia. Northwest of Tahiti. If you want to go there you fly Air Tahiti Nui, Air France or Air New Zealand to Papeete, Tahiti and take a 45 min Air Tahiti flight to Bora. The place where Butch (remember Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction) wants to take his girlfriend Fabienne with the nice french accent, to escape from Marsellus Wallace, who is not amused. Good idea for three reasons: Bora is really very remote. Click here to see how remote. Second: Although on Bora American is a very frequently heard language, its still good to know some French if you really want to talk to the Polynesians. And third: Never go to Bora without your partner.. otherwise Bora will be very boring boring. |

It does not look like an airport but thats it. Since the airport is situated on the atoll ring there is a shuttle boat that will bring you to the island. The airport used to be an American army base and its therefore very famous among Americans - Not only because of Marlon Brando who shot "Mutiny On The Bounty" in French Polynesia, who got married to a woman from Bora and who bought the Tetiatora atoll in 1965. |

is still the definition of the most remote place in the
